Primeval Designs Line Expands

Acheson Creations is adding to it’s line of dinosaur miniatures with a new Kickstarter Campaign called Heavy Metal. This isn’t the first Kickstarter campaign by Acheson Creations, so this seems like a pretty reliable group to back. There are Utahraptors, Dilophosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, and Styracosaurus miniatures coming with this campaign. I opted in for the Utahraptors and a Dilophosaurus myself. Tabletop miniature wargames is actually a hobby of mine, so this is right up my alley. I’ve looked around for a dinosaur tabletop game, but haven’t found anything yet. I’ve even thought about making my own game someday, and these miniatures could help make that happen too.

At any rate, I think this campaign is actually has more to offer than your average Kickstarter campaign. It has a lot of things going for it. There are packages for every budget. Pledges start as low as $5, and yes, that will actually get you a dinosaur miniature. That’s really cheap. You generally don’t get more than a thank you for that much in a Kickstarter campaign. It also looks like some care has been taken for accuracy with the dinosaurs. For example, the Utahraptor has feathers and the dilophosaurus looks properly sized with no crest. If you like your dinosaurs historically accurate, you should be pleased. There are pictures of all their dinosaur miniatures on the campaign page. The target goal was pretty low already, and now it’s nearly tripled. You’re definitely going to get your stuff, the campaign is already funded! No falling in love with something only to have the campaign fall through. And when you order, you can get excited about the delivery date for your dinosaur miniatures. It’s literally just two months away! Technically three if you backed in July, but it’s still the fastest I have come across to date. Delivery is set for October 2016. That’s a really short delivery window for a Kickstarter. So get ’em while they’re hot people!
